SCHEDULING

Figure 1.
As most of Suarga Air’s services are on medium and long haul routes, the majority of aircraft will depart in the early morning, and come back before the end of the day. This will avoid overnight parking costs at foreign airports, and allow opportunity for maintenance to be done at the base overnight. As a result the outbound peak hours between 6-10 am (UTC +7) , and inbound peak hours between 8pm-12am (UTC +7) (Figure 1). There are also both departure and arrival peak period in the middle of the day, mostly contributed by short haul services.
According to Figure (Figure 1), this nature of schedules may not benefit the SA operation in terms of connecting time and resources. However, it may be able to optimise the seat factor contributed by regional passengers, as we recognise that regional premium market demand is probably not strong enough to have high density traffic.
